As part of the Antoni van Leeuwenhoek Year—the Delft cloth merchant Antoni van Leeuwenhoek became renowned with his microscopes and is regarded as the founder of microbiology— RADIUS presents the group exhibition RADICAL SYMBIOSIS: THE SOCIAL LIFE OF MICROBES, curated by guest curators Àngels Miralda Tena and Mateo Chacón Pino.
The exhibition takes the form of a petri dish, in which ten artists experiment with and present work on the basis of bacterial and microbial worlds as an endless conversation between people and the living environment. Microbes dance, mingle, fuse and partner within human bodies, not only affecting health, but our cultural and social reality.
